Heyy-eyyy!
It’s Friday!
Tonight my eldest is making us paninis for dinner – she insisted! And then we’re having family movie night to watch the 1975 episode of Charlie Brown’s Valentine. Holla’!
Meanwhile, there’s a day to get through and pictures to share with you from the past week, all on my cell phone. There are about half as many as usual because my darling phone spent some time at the repair shop.
It was so worth it, though. Olympia iPhone Repair, local peeps — if your phone is pocket dialing your college boyfriend or face-timing people all by itself, or announcing it’s going to call your cousin in Hawaii who is blissfully pregnant and sleeping at 3 am her time? It’s time to seek help. It’s much cheaper than buying a new phone!

I’m linking up over here:
How cute are these three? They were all finally feeling better at the same time by last Saturday night, just in time for their first big date together with Daddy: the annual Father/Daughter Dance. They wanted to go out for pizza first, so they got all dolled-up and left plenty early for dinner and fun. Teensy has been going for years, but this year she had to share with Teensy-Weensy. Her one complaint? “Every time I started to dance with Dad, she would cut in. I just could NOT get to have him to myself {eye roll}.”
And what did I do while they were gone for 5 hours? I drove to the nearest GAP Outlet and helped their economy. A lot.
Just look.
This is a three-year-old’s made bed. All by herself.
She has been taking great pride in her skills. I think she needs to show her dad a thing or two.
Here’s one of my purchases – loving this ruffle-tastic button-up. That’s me at work. My students kept saying they loved my shirt, so I decided I’d take a picture. I had on a leopard-print belt that day, too. It was fun.
I love it when I finish cooking through one cook book and can choose another off of my shelf to explore. Be ready to see some of my creations inspired by this gorgeous book, How to Cook the Perfect Day. Nikki McClure is a local talent who is amazing with an exact-o knife and black paper. This image? It’s all one piece of black paper, just with spaces cut out. She’s quite famous around here, and she is gaining notoriety pretty much everywhere.
I get to say I knew her when: she was my artist in residence when I was in my third year of teaching. She showed my fourth graders how to make books. And she was super sweet.
Alright, y’all. I’ve got to get ready for work or I’ll be late! Happy Weekend! What are your Super Bowl plans? Shout ‘em out!

That’s a great picture of you! It’s nice to see your face after reading all your words, y’know? Happy Friday!
haha! Thanks!
I’d love to cook the perfect day! Sounds excellent, I’ll have to check it out
And I am amazed at your 3-year-old’s mad skills! Way to go!
I seriously wondered who could’ve helped her make her bed today, but there was no one home at the time it happened. Guess she was paying attention!
We always make homemade potstickers for SuperBowl. This year we actually will not be watching the game, but will have family time at home making potstickers anyway! A small part of me hopes little B will not like them so that more will be for me. : ) But mostly I hope she likes them as much as we do! Thank you for the PB/Dove cookies – FANTASTIC. Love em. How did you know PB is my favorite thing? Yum yum.
I had a hunch you might like the combo!
Hope the potstickers went over well!
