2012: the year in review, bloggy-style.

Excuse me while I toot my own horn!

It’s been fun checking out how this little corner of cyber-space has fared over the past year. Like, did you know that I posted over twice as many posts in 2012 as I did in 2011? Way!

And did you know that I have viewers on every continent, save those scientist in Antarctica who apparently do not care what I am up to? Do you think they have more important things to do?! Could be…could be.

Maybe you’re new here. In that case, you may want to check out my top five posts of 2012, which people just keep coming back to almost every day:

sweet, sweet charley b’s

a very western wedding

my spooky halloween decor {+ a giveaway!}

you love me! you really love me!

insta.friday

I love that this is supposed to be a blog with recipes and a focus on cooking and baking, yet my top five posts had almost nothing to do with that topic, whatsoever.

I had some nice press in 2012, also. Check it out:

I’m linked on Charley B’s press page here {maybe not such a big thing, but important to me!}; an article about cottage baking, by one of my idols, Amy Pennington; and my blog was mentioned in this article in the Weekly Volcano.

Such a huge thank you to you, dear reader, for keeping me busy. I say it a lot, but – save for my children – this is the only thing worth getting out of bed for at 4:45 am each morning!

I am excited for what next year’s “year in review” may hold. Wish me luck!
